EVALUATOR CHARACTERISTICS

Do It Right - Perfectionist, can’t make mistakes (or you feel terrible), precise, careful, detailed, accurate in planning, creation and implementation, reliable, accurate and trustworthy.

Planning Ahead - Prestigious planner and researcher, asks lots of questions of people with experience, anticipates problems before they happen, plans for ‘Option B’.

Communication - Speaks in facts, specifics and details, try not to display emotions or share feelings, doesn't like to order or instruct others - instead, you refer to rules and procedures. Avoids conflict or disagreeing with others.

Rules - Stickler for following the rules and regulations, committed to structure, procedures, systems and policy.

Environment - Likes quiet, organised, stable environments that allows concentration. Does not like noisy, unstable environments with lots of change, social interaction and drama.

Decision Making - Gets extremely stressed when you have to make a decision quickly without the ability to gather all the facts and supporting details.

Organisation - Keeps things in order and systematic, believes careful organisation and planning is the foundation of success.

Control - Believes that having all the necessary information, details and research is imperative to success. Since other styles do not share this sentiment, you perceive the need to take control of projects and tasks in the implementation stage in order to avoid failure or mistakes.

Critical - You have extremely high standards and as such, others can appear sloppy, impulsive and inaccurate to you. You often see problems others don’t see. This can lead you to appear critical or negative.

EVALUATORS AS SALES PEOPLE

  • Organised sales person, plans sales meetings and follows sales systems correctly
  • Uses CRM system effectively and carefully
  • Studying, gaining knowledge – the sales expert!

Potential Areas Of Improvement

  • Learn to build emotional rapport with customers and prospects – be warmer emotionally
  • Concentrate on explaining benefits and using emotional language when required, rather than the focus on features and facts

CAREER ALIGNMENT

Evaluators are motivated by roles that allow access to information and data, gives them time to investigate problems, make decisions, formulate a plan and carry it through to completion, have rules and structure to follow, being dealt with in a reserved, business-like manner.

Evaluators are demotivated in careers with sudden or abrupt change, being required to socialise, dealing with emotionally charged situations, disclosing personal information and opinions, lots of chit chat, having to make decisions fast, working in a system that lacks quality control or safety regulations.
