There are 3 x business stages:
1) Technician Business Owner
You’re working IN the business. You’re involved in & are required to deliver all the work. You’re typically working 40 - 60hrs per week and are completely required to run the business.
2) Conductor Business Owner
You’re working ON the business. You’re overseeing the running of the business and are not involved with technical delivery. You’re typically working 20 - 40hrs per week and are not as required for the day to day.
3) Lifestyle Business Owner
Your business runs without you. You can step away from the business - if that’s what you want. You’re typically working less than 20hrs per week. You get to travel, have fun, pursue other interests - and your business keeps making you money.
Most business owners are technician business owners.
Not by choice. Simply because they don’t know how to get to that next level.
