Leverage Your Time
I hope you’re having an amazing week!
With everything being so hectic and so busy at the moment, today I want to talk to you about the importance of leveraging your time.
The reality is that you can’t do everything. And as a leader or business owner, you need to have your attention across all areas of your team or your business.
That means you need to be across winning work, new business, client relationships, team performance, an aspect of project delivery, as well as the strategic direction and growth of your team or your business.
You get it, “all of the things”.
If you try to be deeply across all of the areas of your team or your business that I’ve just mentioned above and you try to take responsibility for all of these areas, you’ll simply blow up and burn out.
So, if you want to be successful and grow a really profitable team and business, you have to get really good at leveraging your time.
Leveraging your time works in a number of different ways. Firstly it’s delegation. It’s also asking for help.
But you can’t get good in any of these areas until you work out what your high dollar productive zone is.
Your high dollar productive zone is the bunch of activities that you’re really good at, that energise you, that you love doing and that when you’re doing these activities the magic just seems to happen.
Your high dollar productive zone means that when you’re in this zone, it’s moving the needle the most for your team will your business.
So you first need to get really clear on your high dollar productive zone and your high dollar productive activities.
Then once you're super, super clear on these activities, you then need to make a commitment and start the process of delegating and getting help with all the other activities that you’re currently doing in your day to day that don’t yield the biggest and best results.
Once you’re focusing on your high dollar productive activities and delegating and getting help with the rest, that’s when you’re truly leveraging your time, your team and your business is flying and you’re well on your way to the success that you are aiming for.
