Running Shareholders Meetings

There’s a bunch of ways you could run your shareholders meetings. 

 

But the following is the most effective structure I’ve found to: 

 

 1) Keep everyone up to speed with the state of play of the business. 

 

 2) Give everyone time to ask questions and provide input. 

 

 3) Not run a time waster of a meeting!

2.1 - State of Play - Strategic Plan Performance Review 

2.2 - Financial Performance - YTD & Forecast 

2.3 - Return on Investment / Dividend Distribution – YTD & Forecast 

2.4 - Compliance & Risk Management 

 

3 - Other Business: 

3.1 - Succession Plan – Next Generation 

3.2 - Shareholders Deed – Proposed Amendments (if any) 

3.3 - Share Sales (if any) 

3.4 - Resolutions For Voting On (if any) 

 

4 - Meeting Evaluation & Close 

4.1 - Meeting Evaluation 

4.2 - Next Meeting  

4.3 - Close 

 

After running and being part of shareholders meetings for the past 15 years. 

 

This is the best structure to follow.
