Hope you’re well.
All of the work that I do with my clients in my coaching programs is based on three core pillars. These 3 pillars are called Your Growth Model.
The first pillar that I work with my clients around is Attract. This is doing all the things that are going to help you win more work, help you attract better clients into your team or your business, generate more revenue and repeat business from your current clients and allow you to have more confidence in your project pipeline.
The second pillar is Perform. In this pillar I work with my clients on the performance of their team and their business. Helping them improve their client relationships, getting their clients really happy with the work that they’re doing and turning their clients into what I call raving fans. We also work on their team performance - getting their team humming really nicely as well as looking at their leadership skills to ensure they are doing everything they possibly can to lead their team and their business with confidence.
The third pillar is Grow. Here we look at helping my clients leverage their time and leverage their team to ensure they’re only focusing on the tasks and the activities that are going to grow their team, grow their business and move the needle the most. We work on proper delegation, we work on putting a proper team in place and we work setting strategy and vision and only taking action on what's going to move this strategy and vision forward.
So this model - Your Growth Model - when drawn, forms a triangle of Attract, Perform and Grow.
And when my clients come to me and we first start working together, often their triangle is small - meaning that they’ve got a number of things to work on to build out and put strategies in place to help them grow or to move forward in these three key areas.
And what I find is, as my clients get success in one area - it often creates problems in another area.
So if my client is getting really good at winning more work and increasing their project pipeline, that causes a problem in team and team delivery - meaning they've got too much work on and need to hire more people and get the team performing well under a new dynamic and with a bigger team.
So what I say to all my clients is - get excited when you create yourself new problems in your team or business, it means that you’re growing. It means that you’re getting bigger and better and it means that the triangle is expanding!
So in business, the more success you create in one area - the more problems you are going to create in another. That’s the reality of things and it’s a fun journey - if you’re up for it!
