It’s that time of year again, the busy frantic rush into Christmas. When all of your clients want everything delivered before the break, and you and your team are starting to feel the pinch of another big year.

Everyone is gunning for that finish line, the Christmas break. The time when our whole industry stops and everyone can actually pause, relax and reset.

Most business owners are the same - trying to do everything to keep things together until the Christmas break when they can fall in a heap and do nothing for a bit - and think about next year, in the new year.

That’s a big mistake.

The time to think about the new year is now. The time to plan effectively for 2024 is now. 

Because if you don’t think about and plan for next year now and you wait until you come back from the Christmas break, you’re already two months behind.

So yes, I know it’s busy now. I know you’re tired and craving that break, but honestly the best time to plan for and map out 2024 is now.

Because if you have a plan and strategy for next year already mapped out and in place coming into the Christmas break, it means that you can actually relax.

You can actually take the time off and enjoy the break with family, friends and loved ones, knowing that you’ve got a plan and a strategy in place. Knowing what you need to do in 2024 and knowing that you can hit the ground running when you’re back in the new year.

Having a plan and strategy - even if it’s high level - gives you way more confidence for the new year ahead because you know what you need to do - and when you get back from your break relaxed, recharged and refreshed - you can start taking action. 

As opposed to coming back from the break with no plan, scrambling to pull one together and starting the year in a frantic rush knowing that you’re already a few months behind the eight ball. 

Mediocre planning leads to mediocre results. 

Don’t wait until next year to plan for next year. Plan for next year and map out of strategy now. Your business, your team, your family and most importantly, you, will reap the benefits.
