I hope you’re having an amazing day.
Today I want to talk about why understanding your unique personality style matters.
Let me explain.
Recently I ran a training program for my clients in my Boardroom program. We are exploring at the moment how to motivate, inspire and influence their team around them to lead to greater levels of success for their team & business.
In this training, we explored the four different personality styles, what motivates each personality style, what drives and inspires each personality style as well as what demotivates each style.
The reason we are exploring this topic & concept is that so many leaders and business owners fall into the trap of assuming that they can lead everyone on their team, and everyone around them the same way in order to get the same results.
This is simply not true.
As I was walking everyone in the training through the four main personality styles, I made a comment that one particular personality style, called the Stabiliser personality style, actually makes up about 70% of the population and the other three personality styles make up the remaining 30% of the population.
By the way if you’d like to check out my personality quiz to understand your main personality style as well as the style of others around you, feel free to follow the link below, do the quiz and you’ll be sent your results via email.

And as we explored the nuances of the stabiliser personality style, one of my clients Phil had a revelation.
They were currently planning to roll out some new strategic initiatives in the business and had planned to roll it out a certain way, but as I explored the Stabiliser personality style and made the comment that 70% of population are Stabilisers - Phil realised that he had to completely change the way they had planned to roll out this new strategic direction and these new strategic initiatives for the team the business.
Because, as Phil said, if they had continued to roll out these strategic initiatives the way they had planned, it would’ve completely missed the mark and actually demotivated the team in the business.
Awareness of what makes you and your team tick is so critical. Develop a deep awareness of what motivates and demotivates yourself and those around you, and you can much more easily support them to greater levels of success.
