2 x days of learning, sharing, strategising, growing and resetting goals & action plans.
It was incredible.
These quarterly events are a big part of our members success in Boardroom.
2 x days focused on the business - not in it.
At this event - I ran a session on epic staff retention.
We dove into the 3 x core strategies for building a great company culture.
As well as how to retain and grow your staff.
So that you can build a culture of high performance in your business.
I thought I’d share with you today the model and the framework I outlined for our members.
The framework looks like this:
1) Purpose
At a foundational level - your team need to have a sense of purpose working for you.
Do they know your company values? Are they aligned with them?
Do they know what your business mission and vision is? Does it resonate with them?
Do they know their why? Why they turn up to work every day and do what they do?
Help your staff connect to and feel a sense of purpose when they turn up to work every day.
2) Growth
Next, your staff need to feel like they’re growing.
They need to be able to see a future for themselves within your business.
How are you helping them progress their career?
How are you painting a future for them?
How are you helping them develop mastery of their craft?
Without a sense of growth or future - your staff will lose motivation - or worse, leave.
3) Trust
Finally, comes trust.
Do you trust your staff?
Do your staff trust you?
Have you built a culture of flexibility and autonomy?
Do you also have high levels of accountability?
One can’t exist without the other.
Focus on building flexibility, autonomy and accountability into your business.
These are the foundations for high levels of trust.
This is the model that I shared with all of our Boardroom members last week.
When it comes to building a great culture and retaining and growing your staff.
It resonated deeply and there were lots of “ah ha” moments.
