How To Have More Time

Most want more time back in their days to focus on and do the important work that will lead to growth. 

 

Time and not having enough of it is one of the biggest reasons I get told by business owners that they can’t focus on growth or bigger picture strategies right now.  

 

Or why they just need to wait 6 to 12 months for this busy period to be over & things are quieter, then they’ll have more time to focus.  

 

But honestly, it’s not about waiting until you have more time - because that will never come.  

 

If you’re doing your job right as a business owner - you will always be busy and there will always be things to sort out, fix or make better.

So it’s not about waiting for more time - it’s about creating more time.  

 

Waiting for another 6 to 12 months before you focus on bigger picture strategy - just means you’re 6 to 12 months behind where you could be if you created the time & focused on it now.  

 

And creating more time for yourself - means setting boundaries. 

 

Setting boundaries and limits around the day to day work which is endless and will consume you forever if you let it. 

 

Setting boundaries with your staff, your team and even clients so that you can intentionally carve out strategic time for yourself. 

 

And honestly, this strategic time piece doesn’t need to be this big thing. 

 

It doesn’t need to be a long drawn out process where you rent out a penthouse, light candles, get yourself centred and in the right state.  

 

It really just needs to be an hour at a local cafe thinking differently and creatively about the future of your business. 

 

And then making time during the week to move these bigger picture strategies forward. 

 

So let’s get real for a second. 

 

If you’re using time as an excuse - you’re only hurting yourself, your business, your team and those around you. 

 

You’re in control of your time and what you focus on.  

 

The real question is – are you taking the life and the business you want to create seriously enough?  

 

Are you setting boundaries and spending time on the things that truly matter?
