The 3 Ones

Today I want to talk to you about a training concept that I've just talked to all of my Boardroom clients about, which is the 3 ones.

For those of you who don't know, Boardroom is my training program where I work purely with business owners of engineering consultancies. So a real niche group of amazing clients who are making incredible things happen in their businesses.

This training concept of the 3 ones is really simple and I honestly think that leaders & business owners complicate things when it comes to building their team or business. The 3 ones is essentially this – 1 Client + 1 Connection System + 1 Problem that you solve.

So to expand on this…you only need one ideal client, not four, not five – just one. You have one client where you know their world intimately in terms of all their pain points, all of their frustration points, and you know all the things that you can do to help solve their problems.

One ideal client where you’re really clear on their goals and their aspiration points and you know how to get them the results that they’re after – time and time again. 

You then have one connection system or one way of connecting with these ideal clients to build your team or business. 

So LinkedIn as an example is a great way of connecting and doing business with your one ideal client. Networking events as another example. Tendering panels etc. That sort of thing. Again just choose one way to connect and do business. Not four, not five – just one.

You then have your solution to their one set of main problems that your ideal clients face each and every day. And you do this on repeat. No more chasing new, bright and shiny things (clients). Just get really good (by doing things over and over again) at solving your client’s problems.

You’ll find that by doing this over and over, your ideal clients will stay with you (because why would they go anywhere else) and your credibility and results will start to speak for themselves. All of a sudden you’ll have more of your ideal clients reaching out to you to help solve their problems as well!

So, like I said, leaders and business owners really complicate things when it comes to building their teams & businesses, whereas if you can simplify things and get really good at doing the same thing over and over – this allows you to grow and scale easily.

Simple scales – complex fails. 

If you can get really good at solving one client's pain points and problems, and you build all of your systems and processes around this to solve their problems, it becomes such a simple process to then scale your team or business. 

So we want simple.

And then the final piece of the puzzle with the 3 ones is: 1 + 1 + 1 = $3 Million. 

You should be running the 3 Ones and following this model until you hit at least $3 million a year in revenue.

And honestly, if you’re following the 3 ones, you can get to $3 million a year in revenue super quickly and super easily without all the frustration and annoyance that comes with it.
